CONTINUING THE GRAND TRADITION
Saturday, November 30, 1996, will see a grand event take place
at the Sheraton Palace Hotel in San Francisco - THE HOLOKU BALL.
The gala event will flow through three rooms, the Grand Ballroom,
the Gold Room and the Regency Room.
The affair will be black-tie optional. As with the Honolulu
event, the ladies will participate in the Holoku parade, modeling
their beautiful holokus. The Ball will include hors d'oeuvres and
no-host cocktails, music and entertainment, a raffle and a silent
auction, dinner in the Grand Ballroom and dancing.
Attendees will also have a chance to visit the Makeke or
market of vendors selling authentic Polynesian crafts.
The event will benefit Polynesia,
Polynesia!, a non-profit group whose objective is
to preserve and perpetuate cultures of the Polynesians through
education and hands-on instruction. Tickets are $125.00 per
